Joining a Community of Care
This coalition is more than an organization; it’s a community of care. We aim to bring together local conservation and environmental groups, providing a collaborative space where each can share resources, support one another, and amplify impacts. Our role is to support, connect, and build upon the outstanding work already underway while also welcoming and guiding new efforts, helping them to be coordinated, organized, and fully supported. Together, we ensure that every group—whether established or just beginning—can thrive in their mission to protect the environment.
Imagine the power of a community committed to this vision: neighbors inspired to act, people of all ages connected through shared values, and diverse organizations working together for the collective health of our region. As we face challenges like species loss and clean water concerns, it has never been more critical to join together to protect what gives so much to us, our local environment.
Our goal is to foster a culture rooted in respect for our environment and a dedication to well-being for all. By becoming part of this coalition, you’re joining a movement toward a healthier, thriving future for generations to come.
Together, let’s protect what we love and inspire a culture of stewardship that lasts.
Mission:
To act as a local communications and community platform to amplify all of the Black Hills and Western South Dakota collective efforts to come into harmony with our environment through inclusive conversations, complete education, and organized action.
We welcome and encourage collaboration outside of the Black Hills.
Vision:
Through inclusive collaboration and the building of relationships, trust, and community values, we aim to bring human life processes into harmony with the ecosystem; so that we can regenerate and heal the ecosystem, including wildlife, water, air, and land, for the future. By removing silos of current efforts, we can learn that each silo works with multiple interrelated efforts. Multi-group collective collaboration can allow for human survival and a healthy, thriving life for generations to come while creating a culture of care for current existing systems as we transition to being in balance with the ecosystem.
